NATO preferred the GlobalEye system developed by the Swedish defense company Saab to renew its E-3 Sentry AWACS early warning and air control aircraft, which have been in service for many years. With the decision announced within the scope of the NATO Summit held in Ankara, the alliance will procure a maximum of 10 GlobalEye aircraft.
