On the occasion of July 15, Democracy and National Unity Day, greetings were read from all mosques in Edirne, especially Selimiye Mosque, the masterwork of Mimar Sinan. The martyrs of July 15 were commemorated with prayers as the sounds of floods surrounded the city.
On the 10th anniversary of the treacherous coup attempt of July 15, simultaneous greetings were recited in all mosques at 00.13 at night in Edirne as part of the commemoration programs. The sounds of sela rising simultaneously from all mosques in the city center and districts, especially the Selimiye Mosque, the masterwork of Sinan the Architect, which is on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List, echoed all over Edirne.
After the sela was recited, prayers were made for the martyrs of July 15, and citizens accompanied the prayers in the mosques and their locations. - EDIRNE
