Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, in his post on his social media account about the visit, said, "10 years ago, on the night of July 15, our nation claimed its independence and future. 10 years later, our heroic veterans who wrote that epic were in Gabar, the symbol of our energy independence. Today, we extract Türkiye's best quality oil in these mountains, which were once known for terrorism, and we produce uninterruptedly 24/7 in our oil wells named after our martyrs. "Barrels of oil are not only an economic value, but also the work of our nation's will and our goal of a fully independent Türkiye," he said.
Minister Bayraktar stated that they will continue to produce, invest and carry the country to a stronger future in line with the goal of 'a fully independent Turkey in energy' in the spirit of July 15, and said, "Under the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, we have not forgotten the sacrifice of our martyrs and the honorable resistance of our veterans, we will not forget, we will not let them forget. Once upon a time, the name of this place was associated with terrorism. Currently, oil is being extracted. We were watching this place on television. It is very important to see it in place. It is meaningful that oil is produced here along with the terrorism-free Türkiye process."
Gazi Kaan Şimşek said, "Today, we saw how our state eliminated terrorism and built oil facilities. We saw serious investments in roads, power lines, working people. We felt proud. We will explain these investments to our people together with our veteran friends and try to make them feel the power of our state," while veteran Kazım Yılmaz said, "I felt honored and proud that our state established this place.
