Türkiye's most established film festival, the International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, aims to contribute to the students' production of new films by evaluating and encouraging the qualified works of cinema students in cinema schools with the "Cinema Schools Student Films Competition", which will be held for the third time this year.

In the festival, which will be held for the 63rd time this year between 24-31 October 2026; Cinema Schools Student Film Competition will be held where cinema professionals and cinema students will meet. Institutions providing cinema education throughout Türkiye can participate in the competition. Each institution can apply with a film of maximum 15 minutes in length. Works produced between October 1, 2025 - July 30, 2026 can participate in the Cinema Schools Student Film Competition. Applications for the competition will be made through the official website of Altın Portakal until Monday, August 31, 2026, at 23.59.

Schools and students who make it to the finals of the festival will be accredited to the latest local and foreign films in the festival program; They will meet with cinema professionals during the festival. The student film selected as "Best Film" in the competition will be awarded with the Golden Orange statuette.

Golden Orange continues to support film schools

At the festival, 10 films selected from 34 projects applied from 75 different cinema schools across Türkiye in last year's Cinema Schools Student Film Competition were evaluated. In the competition, Student Films Gain Special Jury Award was given to "What is the Perfect Measure?" Eylül Babur from Istanbul Medipol University won the Best Film Award with her movie, and Abdurrahim Karabulut from Istanbul University won the Best Film Award with her movie "The Humping of the Mound".

At the 61st International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, 12 films selected from 43 projects applied from 75 different cinema schools across Türkiye were evaluated. The first prize in the competition was given to the film "Sistem" directed by Maltepe University student Abdülhalim Erez. The film that won the Special Jury award was "Döngü" directed by Kastamonu University student Ramazan Yakut. - ANTALYA
