Israeli far-right MP Zvi Sukkot raided a Palestinian school in the Old City of occupied East Jerusalem and destroyed the school sign.
Sukkot, a member of the Education Commission of the Israeli Parliament, shared the footage of him raiding the Darul Eytam (Orphans' Home) High School in the Old City and destroying the school sign with the Palestinian flag on it on his social media account yesterday.
Sukkot, who ripped out and smashed the sign of the historical school that provides education to orphans and needy children in the region, said, "We will close this school and all Palestinian administration schools in Jerusalem. This is the flag of a non-existent state. There is only Israel here." he said.
Far-right figures in the Israeli Parliament frequently come to the fore by going to Palestinian cities such as Sukkot, Ummul Fehm and Rahat and carrying out provocative raids on schools.
According to international law, Israel, the occupying power in East Jerusalem, has no authority to intervene in Palestinian educational, health and cultural institutions.
