The forest fire, which broke out as a result of the spread of flames in a burning house in Kastamonu, was taken under control with an intervention that lasted 4.5 hours.
The incident took place in the evening in the Kargın District of Kızılkese village of the Central district. According to the information obtained, flames broke out in the wooden house for an unknown reason. The fire, which grew in a short time, spread first to the barn next to the house and then to the forest area. Many firefighters, Kastamonu Regional Directorate of Forestry, AFAD, gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the region to combat the flames that grew in a short time. While firefighters arrived in the region and intervened in the house fire, forestry teams started operations to extinguish the forest fire.
As a result of the extinguishing activities carried out with helicopter support, the fire was brought under control in approximately 4.5 hours. The cooling activities of the teams continue.
On the other hand, while the wooden house was reduced to ashes in the fire, the barn became unusable. The cattle in the barn during the fire were rescued by citizens by removing them from the broken wall.
