In the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), the minimum wage has been increased to be valid for the second half of 2026.

According to the decision of the TRNC Minimum Wage Determination Commission, after the 16.95 percent cost of living increase, the net minimum wage was increased to 61 thousand 677 liras, and the monthly gross minimum wage was increased to 70 thousand 893 liras.

With the new minimum wage tariff, the hourly wage will be 408.99 lira, the daily wage will be 3 thousand 271.98 lira, and the weekly wage will be 16 thousand 359.92 lira.

In the TRNC, in the first half of 2026, the minimum wage was applied as 60 thousand 618 lira gross and 52 thousand 738 lira net.

With the net minimum wage applied in Türkiye for 2026 being 28 thousand 75 lira (gross 33 thousand 30 lira), the new net minimum wage in TRNC reached a level of approximately 2.2 times the figure in Türkiye.
