DENİZLİ (IHA) – The fountain roof of the historical fountain in Buldan district of Denizli was in danger of collapsing due to slipping.
The roof of the protected Kesen Fountain, located on Dokuma Pazarı Street in Yeşildere District of Buldan, slid approximately 15 centimeters from the wall on which it rested. Claiming that it was almost a matter of time before the roof would separate from the supporting wall in front, citizens asked for help from the authorities.
Abdullah Çelik noted that the danger of the roof of the historical Kesen Fountain, which was included in the protected area by the Izmir Cultural Heritage Preservation Board in 2002, made the residents of the region uneasy, and said, "Considering that children play here and many people rest in its shadow, precautions should be taken as soon as possible to prevent a possible disaster." - DENIZLI
