Due to the "15 July Democracy and National Unity Day" commemoration program in Istanbul, the 15 July Martyrs Bridge and its connecting roads were closed to vehicle traffic as of 03:00.
According to the statement made by the Istanbul Police Department Traffic Control Branch Directorate, the main arteries connecting to the 15 July Martyrs Bridge will remain closed until 15.00.
In this regard, the roads that will be closed are as follows:
D-100 South Road: Beşiktaş-Sarıyer junction location
D-100 Northern Road: Ümraniye-Altunizade junction location
Beşiktaş district: Barbaros Boulevard Sait Çiftçi bridge access, Sait Çiftçi Varyant bridge access, Yıldız Posta Caddesi Gayrettepe D-100 southern junction, Barbaros Boulevard Zincirlikuyu D-100 southern junction and D-100 north junction points from Barbaros Boulevard to Sarıyer direction.
Üsküdar district: The roads connecting to the bridge from Beylerbeyi, Kısıklı Street, Altunizade Junction and Tophaneli Street were closed to traffic.
According to the announcement made by IETT, a route change was made in metrobus services in order to avoid disruption of public transportation service. Metrobuses operating between Zincirlikuyu and Söğütlüçeşme will serve via Fatih Sultan Mehmet (FSM) Bridge until further notice.
In line with this regulation, Fikirtepe, Uzunçayır, Acıbadem, Altunizade, Burhaniye and 15 July Martyrs Bridge stops were temporarily closed.
Passengers traveling from the Anatolian Side to the European Side will be able to reach Zincirlikuyu Station with metrobuses departing from Söğütlüçeşme and using the FSM Bridge. Passengers who want to go from the European Side to the Anatolian Side will need to transfer at Zincirlikuyu Station. - ISTANBUL
