Reminding that the treacherous coup attempt organized by FETO on July 15, 2016 was defeated by the resistance of the Turkish nation, Abbas Gündüz stated that 10 years have passed since the treacherous coup attempt, but what happened in the dark night when 252 citizens became martyrs and 2 thousand 740 citizens became veterans has not been forgotten. Gündüz said, "Terrorists looking like soldiers wearing the Turkish Armed Forces Uniform, which is considered sacred for us, stated in the statement published on the official website of the Turkish Armed Forces and TRT that the army had taken over the government and that martial law and curfew were declared in the country. Like every citizen who loves his state and can sacrifice his life if necessary, we took the risk of martyrdom. But within a few hours, our nation united around the homeland. Hundreds of thousands of people marched against the tanks and bullets. The nation stood up again with the spirit of Çanakkale. Since July 15, 2016, it has been supporting our martyrs' relatives and veterans and continuing its activities for them all over Türkiye. Our association operates to establish the law of brotherhood with our martyrs' relatives and veterans and to accurately convey and keep alive the spirit of July 15 to future generations. In order to prevent treacherous coups like July 15 from happening again, we need to understand July 15 correctly, read it correctly and not let it be forgotten by conveying it to future generations. "There are those who try to make people forget July by diluting it.
