Gürsel Erden, who was injured at the Istanbul Stock Exchange during the treacherous coup attempt of the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO) on July 15, 2016, talked about what he experienced "that night" at the conference he attended in Tekirdağ.
At the conference organized by Tekirdağ Family and Social Services Directorate at the Hürriyet Children's Homes Site Conference Hall on the occasion of "15 July Democracy and National Unity Day", the 15 July video prepared by the Directorate of Communications was shown.
July 15 veteran Gürsel Erden, in his speech here, stated that he could not forget what he experienced on the night of the coup attempt and that no one should forget July 15.
Stating that the people who took to the streets had nothing in their hands, but the love of the country was in their hearts, Erden said, "We went out that night for the homeland, for the flag, and defeated them. The Mehmetçik are our Mehmetçik, the police are our police, but the traitors deceived them. We laid their traps on their heads. Why? God is the best of trappers. We went out that night for God. We went out that night for the country, for the flag, and defeated them. We were not worried about our lives. "We could sit at home and watch TV. But a will said, 'Get out.' That was the power of Allah. What did we do to them without weapons, stones or sticks?" he said.
Family and Social Services Provincial Director Hüseyin Özdemir also noted that July 15 was a treacherous foreign coup attempt that emerged as a threat to the unity of the nation, the independence of the state, the will of the nation, democracy and the state.
