AK Party Ankara Deputy Lütfiye Selva Çam said, "Türkiye's future is very open, they tried to shut it down. The July 15 process was actually such a process, afterward, of course, we went to all the hearings, and we understood from the hearings that there is actually an organization far beyond what we thought." he said.
AK Party Ankara Deputy Çam evaluated what happened in the Parliament during the treacherous coup attempt of the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO) on July 15, 2016, to the AA correspondent.
Stating that he was one of the first deputies to come to the Parliament, Çam reminded that he and the then Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, İsmail Kahraman, decided to open the General Assembly Hall.
Stating that they wanted to give the impression of unity in the Parliament with the government and the opposition that day, Çam said, "When it comes to the country, everything is a detail, the deputies took a stance here as representatives of the nation in order to show that the nation is integrated with its state and protects its flag." he said.

"The speeches started, our Parliament Speaker opened our Parliament. During the speeches, while our then Minister of Justice, Bekir Bey, was giving a speech at the podium, we witnessed a bomb being thrown into our Parliament with an incredible thud. I can say that even now, if you hear a noise, you may be in a situation where you would be startled, shaken, and confused about what to do, but that day, everyone started standing tall and shouting slogans with that heroic body coming from our ancestors. We said that this place will be open, the Parliament will obey the will of the nation." "We have demonstrated to our nation, incredibly enthusiastically, as one body in front of the podium, that there can be no mortgage and that we will preserve this will until the end, saying 'there is only death, there is no turning back'."
Çam pointed out that they understand the games being played on Turkey much better in the light of the situation in the Middle East today and said, "In other words, a plan was made, that plan was tried to be implemented and together with the organizations inside, they wanted to redesign the Middle East, and the most important element here is to weaken Türkiye and start this work from Türkiye. However, our nation did not allow this. The whole world saw the solidarity of the state and the nation." made his assessment.
Stating that the only country that world leaders can trust in terms of mediation is Türkiye, and the leader is President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Çam said:
