The martyrs of July 15 were commemorated in BOLU on the 10th anniversary of the coup attempt. At the commemoration, Metin Özen kissed the gravestone and prayed after laying a carnation on the grave of his son Ozan Özen (22), a police officer who was martyred in Istanbul during the coup attempt.
A commemoration ceremony was held at Bolu Martyrs' Cemetery on the 10th anniversary of the July 15 coup attempt. Bolu Governor Abdulaziz Aydın, Bolu Deputy İsmail Akgül, Bolu 2nd Commando Brigade and Garrison Commander Brigadier General Emrullah Öztürk, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Colonel Rıfkı Kulaksız, Provincial Police Chief Yılmaz İpar, institution directors, relatives of martyrs, veterans and citizens attended the ceremony.
After a moment of silence, the Holy Quran was read and prayers were made for the martyrs. Carnations were left on the graves of police officer Ozan Özen and other martyrs who were martyred in Istanbul during the July 15 coup attempt. Martyr Ozan Özen's father, Metin Özen, kissed the tombstone and prayed after leaving carnations on his son's grave. Metin Özen said, "Life goes on. Time takes care of everything. Emotions are deep."
The commemoration program ended after the prayers made at the graves of the martyrs.
