Investigation at 16,500-Year-Old Excavation Site

Bilecik Governor Faik Oktay Sözer inspected the excavation site in the İnhisar district, which boasts a history of 16,500 years.

Governor Sözer, who visited the Gedikkaya Hill and İn Cave Archaeological Excavation Site in the İnhisar district, where activities continue under a Presidential Decree excavation status, received information about the operations from the excavation team. Governor Faik Oktay Sözer stated that the archaeological sites are among the most important settlement areas of Anatolian prehistory.
