In ADANA, Davud Ghulami (43), who hit Khatice Cami (38), the mother of his 2 children, on the head with a hammer and injured her in the neck with a knife, was caught in the shed where he was hiding. During Ghulami's interrogation, he said, "We had an argument on the day of the incident, and I got angry when I wanted to leave the house. I don't remember what I did."
The incident took place on the morning of July 12, at the site in Mahfesığmaz District of Çukurova district. Davud Ghulami, an Afghan national living in the flat on the 4th floor of the building, had an argument with Khatice Cami, the mother of his two children. The discussion turned into a fight, Khatice Cami wanted to leave the house and run away. Davud Ghulami ran and caught the woman at the entrance of the apartment, hit her head with a hammer, knocked her to the ground, and stabbed her in the neck. After the incident, the suspect ran away. The seriously injured person, Khatice Cami, was taken to Adana City Training and Research Hospital by ambulance by the teams dispatched to the address upon notification.
The teams of the Public Order Branch Directorate Homicide Bureau, who worked on the incident, determined that the suspect took a minibus from Karataş Boulevard in Yüreğir district and fled to Yumurtalık district. The teams went to the district and detained the suspect during a raid on the shed where he was hiding. It was learned that during his interrogation, Davud Ghulami, who was taken to the police, said about his wife, whom he thought was cheating on her, "She was always going out and meeting with others. We had an argument on the day of the incident, and when she wanted to leave the house, I got angry. I beat her in a moment of anger, I don't remember what I did."
Davud Ghulami, who was sent to the courthouse after his procedures, was sent to prison in the courthouse. It was reported that Khatice Cami, whose health condition is serious, is still receiving treatment.
