Anadolu Agency prepared the book "July 15 - Witnesses and Confessions" on the 10th anniversary of the treacherous coup attempt of the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO) on July 15, 2016.
In the book published by AA Kitap, it was explained that Türkiye faced one of the heaviest attacks in its history on the night of the coup attempt on July 15, 2016.
It is detailed in the book that FETO coup plotters bombed the Turkish Grand National Assembly, targeted state institutions, martyred 253 citizens and injured thousands of people that night, targeting the state, the nation and the existence of Türkiye, as well as the fact that millions of people who came to the squares upon the call of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan did not allow the coup plotters to pass.
The book, prepared as a memory activity on the 10th anniversary of the failed coup attempt with the determination of the political will and the determination of the Turkish nation, also included the confessions of some FETO members during the investigation and trial processes. Preparations for the coup, organizational functioning and what happened on the night of July 15 were revealed through the perpetrators' own narratives.

The 356-page book, based on Anadolu Agency's photo, news and publication archives, brought together different testimonies regarding July 15.
Readers who open the book, which consists of 7 chapters called "testimony of state institutions", "testimony of squares", "testimony of the nation", "witness of cities", "witness of the world" and "witness of confessions" and "10 years later", are greeted by a photo on the inside cover showing the July 15 victory and a card with the names of the July 15 martyrs on the back.
This cover also features President Erdoğan's words at the Democracy and Martyrs Rally on August 7, 2016: "Our nation is very great, it does not accept captivity and humiliation." The word is included.
The last page of the book contains the names of 253 people who were martyred on July 15.
AA Chairman and General Manager Serdar Karagöz wrote the foreword of the book and explained that 10 years later, July 15 continues to be a historical turning point that maintains its place in memories.
In the foreword, Karagöz said, "The determined and strong leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the sacrifice of our martyrs, the courage of our veterans and the resistance put forward by our nation are the basic elements of a common memory that must be passed on to future generations. Therefore, it is our responsibility to our nation to remember, understand and tell the 15th of July correctly. I commemorate our martyrs with mercy and gratitude and express my gratitude to our veterans. To the employees of Anadolu Agency who contributed to the preparation of this work." "I thank you and hope that the activity will contribute to keeping the memory of July 15 alive." he said.
Editor Dr. The book, for which Hulusi Köse wrote the introduction, includes photographs taken by AA reporters on the night of July 15 and shots of the celebrations held in the country and around the world after the defeat of the coup attempt.
In the "testimony of confessions" section of the book, how FETO prepared for July 15 and striking parts of the confessions' statements included in the judicial files were used. In addition to the confessors, the section also includes the defenses and photographs of the coup attempt defendants.
The book, which touches upon the 10-year period following the coup attempt, ends with the page containing the names of 253 people who were martyred on July 15.
