The mother and her son died, and the father and daughter were injured in the car that fell into the drainage canal in Adana's central Yüreğir district.
The car driven by Makbule Topal in Özler District went out of control and overturned into the drainage canal.
Upon the notice of the surrounding people, gendarmerie, fire brigade and 112 Emergency Health teams were dispatched to the scene of the traffic incident.
First aid was given at the scene to Makbule, her son Mehmet, her husband Dursun Topal and her daughter, whose name has not been learned yet, who were taken out of the vehicle as a result of the fire brigade teams that reached the area.
The driver Makbule and his son Mehmet Topal, who were later taken to Adana City Training and Research Hospital by ambulance, died despite the intervention.
The bodies of the mother and son were taken to the Adana Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for autopsy.
