Flames broke out in the trailer of a bulgur-laden truck traveling at night in Adilcevaz district of Bitlis, causing panic.
According to the information obtained, the incident occurred on the 28th kilometer of the Adilcevaz-Erçiş highway. Smoke began to rise from the trailer of the truck loaded with bulgur while driving. Realizing the situation, the driver pulled the vehicle to the side of the road and informed the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon notice, fire brigade, gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The fire, which grew in a short time, was taken under control and extinguished with the intervention of fire brigades. The teams worked hard to prevent the fire from spreading to the surrounding areas.
While the trailer of the truck became unusable in the fire, most of the bulgur loaded with it was also burned and damaged. Due to the incident, traffic on the highway was controlled for a while. - BITLIS
