(ANKARA) - Within the scope of the investigation into the Friends Association, simultaneous search and detention orders were given for 17 suspects in 4 provinces, and a request was made for the appointment of Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF) officials as trustees to 4 companies considered to be under the control of Haluk Levent's brother Berkant Emergency.
In the statement made by the Ministry of Justice on the subject, within the scope of the comprehensive Buddy investigation carried out by the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command KOM Branch Directorate, under the coordination of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office; It was reported that investigations and investigations are continuing regarding the crimes of "establishing an organization for the purpose of committing a crime", "laundering assets resulting from crime", "opposition to the Tax Procedure Law" and "opposition to the Law on Associations".
According to the information in the investigation file, it was determined that some of the donations made to the Dude Association were transferred to the personal account of Haluk Levent's assistant, Yeliz Kaya. Following this account, it was reported that a total of 125 million 765 thousand TL was sent to the accounts of individuals and companies connected to Levent's brother Berkant Emergency.
Today, the prosecutor's office ordered simultaneous search and detention of 17 suspects in the provinces of Istanbul, Izmir, Kocaeli and Muğla, on the grounds that unfair profits were obtained through the money movements in question and that the donations made to the association were used for purposes other than their intended purpose.
The names for which detention orders were given within the scope of the investigation were Çiğdem Emergency, Gözde Aktı, Sedat Konca, Batuhan Coşkundeniz, Alev Tohumcu, Burak Özcan, Ali Sungur Ariç, Muzaffer Köse, Aytaç Köse, Ceyda Köse, Güney Köse, Berk Ulu, Mert Ulu, Erkin Köse, and among those for whom detention orders were given were Berkant Emergency, Mehmet Sait Köse and Arif Sevik. It was reported that he was still detained for the crimes.
