Google is renewing the media player widget on the Android Auto platform. The new design makes the album image smaller and centers it, placing the track information below it. This makes room for more control buttons: options such as shuffle, repeat and like are added.
Buttons may vary depending on the application used; For example, there may be special controls for podcast broadcasts. A blurred version of the album image is used in the background of the widget. It is not yet clear when the design will be available for general use, but it is expected to be tested in beta first.
