Under the coordination of the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 31 of the 77 suspects who were detained in the operation against 119 suspects who were determined to be involved in drug dealing and sharing posts encouraging drug use on social media were sent to prison.
Under the coordination of the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, within the scope of the intelligence and technical activities carried out by the Ankara Provincial Police Department's Anti-Narcotic Crimes Branch, proceedings were initiated against 119 suspects who were found to be involved in drug trafficking, publicly encouraging the use of drugs or stimulants on social media, and making publications of this nature.
According to the statement made by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, detention orders were issued for 119 suspects within the scope of the investigation. While 77 suspects were detained during the operations, 76 suspects in custody were referred to the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
While 3 of the suspects whose statements were taken by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office were released, 21 suspects were referred to the Criminal Judgeship of Peace on duty with a request for judicial control and 52 suspects for arrest.
The court decided to impose judicial control measures on all 21 suspects who were referred with a request for judicial control. While 31 of the 52 suspects referred with a request for arrest were arrested, judicial control measures were imposed on 21 suspects.
