- Heroic folk songs echoed in Ardahan on July 15, Democracy and National Unity Day.
ARDAHAN (İHA) - Within the scope of the 15 July Democracy and National Unity Day Commemoration Events, an emotional and magnificent commemoration program was held under the auspices of Ardahan Governorship.
At the event held in Ardahan National Sovereignty Park, our beloved martyrs and heroic veterans who sacrificed their lives in defense of the homeland were commemorated with prayers and a special concert program. With hundreds of Ardahan citizens filling the square with Turkish flags in their hands, the provincial protocol, military and civilian officials, especially Ardahan Governor Mehmet Fatih Çiçekli, proudly kept the democracy watch and the spirit of national unity alive as one heart.
The part of the night that attracted the most attention and witnessed emotional moments was the special commemorative concert where Ardahan University Faculty of Fine Arts Turkish Music faculty members took the stage. In the concert, where heroic folk songs worthy of the meaning and importance of the day and distinguished works reflecting the love of the homeland were performed, Lecturer. See. While Halil İbrahim Köroğlu took the stage as a soloist; Dr. Lecturer Member Turgay Akdağoğlu, Dr. Lecturer Member Kemal Özavcı, Lecturer. See. Okan Yanar, Lecturer. See. Süleyman Tuncer, Lecturer. See. Hayrettin Öncü Kılıç, Lecturer. See. Mustafa Oflaz and Lecturer. See. İkranur Süral accompanied the audience as a sazen player, giving the audience both sad and proud moments.
At the event, Ardahan Governor Mehmet Fatih Çiçekli expressed his gratitude to all the academics who took the stage for this meaningful recital where national unity was blended with art, while the commemoration program once again showed the whole world that the spirit of July 15 is as fresh and alive as the first day.
