The shoe theft that took place in an apartment building in Antalya astonished those who saw it. The "selective" thief, who examined the shoes one by one in the apartment he entered, looked at their numbers, stole only the ones he liked and left the others behind, was captured on security cameras.
The incident took place in an apartment building in Orta District of Serik district. An unidentified person entered the building at the weekend and started examining the shoes of the residents with his relaxed attitude, as if he were shopping. Residents of the building, who could not find their shoes on Sunday, could not believe their eyes when they examined the security camera records. In the footage, the moments when the suspect entered the building empty-handed but left with bags filled were conveyed moment by moment.
Resident Mikail Yaylacı, who noticed the theft while looking for his sandals to go to the sea, said, "We had a theft incident in our apartment. The man goes upstairs, looks at our neighbor's shoes. Then he pretends to take it away, but when we examine the cameras, he doesn't like the shoe and puts it back. Then he catches my eye. After examining it, he likes it and takes it away. He goes up to the place upstairs, which we use as a warehouse, and buys the materials. Most likely, other neighbors have also bought their materials. He comes to the apartment empty-handed, and leaves. "I went to the sea wearing my sandals on Saturday. I didn't notice that my shoe was stolen because I didn't go out on Sunday. When we examined the cameras, I saw that the person came here and took my shoe away. Then we gathered with the neighbors and we will go to the police and file a complaint," he said.
"He looked at his number, didn't like it and took the neighbor's across the street."
Stating that his and his child's shoes were examined one by one by the thief, Mehmet Özkan said:
"We had a theft incident. The thief comes, takes my child's shoe. He goes down a few steps. He comes back and leaves the shoe back. Then he looks at the size of my shoe and goes upstairs. After taking some of the belongings of my friends upstairs, he goes downstairs. After landing, he examines my shoe, does not like it and leaves it. Then he takes my neighbor's shoe across the street and leaves. After the incident, my neighbor said he had no shoes. We looked at the camera and saw the theft. While coming to the apartment, the person came empty-handed and went downstairs." "When he got off, it was seen that he filled the bag and left," he said.
He added that the residents of the apartment whose shoes were stolen will file a complaint against the suspect. - ANTALYA
