20 decares of red pine forest were damaged in the fire in Karacasu district of AYDIN.
Flames broke out around 04:00 in the forest area near the rural Yeniköy District of Karacasu district. Upon the notice of the surrounding people who saw the flames rising from the forest, Forest Management Directorate teams were dispatched to the region. The teams reached the region to intervene in the flames and started extinguishing operations with 6 water tankers and 3 water tankers. As a result of the intense efforts of the teams, the fire was taken under control around 09:00. It was determined that 20 decares of red pine forest was burned and damaged in the fire.
Security forces launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
