In Samsun's Bafra district, a march was held and a democracy watch was held within the scope of the July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day commemoration events.
Citizens gathered in front of Bafra Municipality and held a "Democracy and National Unity March" starting from the Republic Square with Turkish flags.
After the march, the events continued on the platform established in 15 July Democracy Square.
The program started with a moment of silence and the reading of the National Anthem, and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's speech was followed on the giant screen via live connection.
In the program, awards were given to the students who were ranked in the July 15 themed competitions, and the video screening and photo exhibition containing moments of resistance against the coup attempt were examined by the citizens.
The program, in which the Holy Quran was read and prayers were read for the martyrs, continued with a hymn recital. During the democracy watch program, sela was recited from all mosques.
Bafra District Governor Mustafa Altınpınar, Mayor Hamit Kılıç, Police Chief Murat Öner, District Gendarmerie Commander First Lieutenant Benal Kurt, AK Party District Chairman İbrahim Semiz, MHP District Chairman Kemal Şahin, department heads, institution directors, non-governmental organization representatives, veterans, relatives of martyrs and citizens attended the commemoration program.
