In his speech at the MHP Grand National Assembly Group Meeting, Bahçeli stated that one of the most important topics that will come to the agenda again in European capitals and Brussels after the NATO Ankara Summit will be Türkiye's full membership negotiation process to the European Union (EU).

Stating that Europe's strategic future should be discussed again and an equitable future plan should be created, Bahçeli said that the problems facing Europe today have become too severe to be managed by old memorizations.

Devlet Bahçeli pointed out that Europe is at a new crossroads in a wide range of issues ranging from energy supply security to irregular migration, from defense capacity to demographic contraction, from supply chains to economic competition.

Emphasizing that there is a truth that cannot be ignored at this crossroads, Bahçeli continued his words as follows:

"The name of that truth is Turkey. In the wide geopolitical zone extending from Ukraine to the Black Sea, from the Balkans to the Caucasus, from the Eastern Mediterranean to the Middle East, no security equation that does not include Türkiye will be permanent. No energy corridor that does not take Türkiye into account will be sustainable. No regional stability project that excludes Türkiye will be successful. This situation is not a wish, but a strategic reality revealed by the changing world. However, instead of seeing this reality for many years, the European Union has saved the day." "He chose to act with political reflexes. Türkiye's membership process was evaluated with political prejudices rather than technical criteria. The chapters that needed to be opened were blocked, the obligations that needed to be fulfilled were postponed, the promises were not kept, and Türkiye's justified expectations were constantly overshadowed by other agendas. This approach harmed not only Türkiye but also Europe."

Stating that the EU narrowed its strategic horizon while keeping Türkiye in its waiting rooms, Bahçeli said, "Those who think that Europe will be stronger by excluding Türkiye should look back at the security and stability problems they face today." he said.

Bahçeli stated that Türkiye's European Union process can no longer be evaluated only within the scope of membership negotiations, and said that the real issue is how Europe envisions its own future.

Stating that Europe should face geopolitical realities and put strategic reason before ideological prejudices, Bahçeli emphasized that Türkiye's relations with the EU should progress on the basis of mutual respect, sovereign equality and fairness. Bahçeli continued as follows:

"Of course, it is important to update the Customs Union. Of course, it is important to complete the visa liberalization process. Of course, it is important to develop economic and commercial relations. Relations between Turkey and Europe cannot be left hostage to the prejudices, electoral calculations or historical fears of third countries. Regarding the 10th anniversary of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day, MHP leader Bahçeli emphasized that July 15 was not just a coup attempt, but one of the last links of the Turkish nation's struggle for independence throughout history. Stating that July 15 was not just a night of betrayal where tanks took to the streets, warplanes flew low, and guns were pointed at the nation, Bahçeli continued as follows:

"July 15 is a multi-layered invasion attempt in which they wanted to collapse the Republic of Turkey from within, seize national sovereignty and chain the will of the Turkish nation. Therefore, reading July 15 correctly is a national obligation not only in terms of understanding the past but also in terms of protecting the future. Because we cannot describe July 15 only as a coup. It is insufficient to evaluate July 15 only as FETO's uprising. July 15, Çanakkale. Bahçeli stated that one of the most important lessons of July 15 was to keep Türkiye's survival above daily political calculations and said that national security is a non-partisan issue.

Stating that MHP's political struggle, which has lasted more than half a century, was founded on the understanding of "the state is eternal", Bahçeli said, "For us, the survival of the Republic of Turkey is too great a trust to be sacrificed to daily calculations. Bahçeli commemorated the July 15 martyrs and the martyrs who lost their lives in the fight against terrorism with mercy and gratitude, and wished the veterans a healthy and long life.

Stating that no threat will achieve its goal as long as Türkiye preserves its unity and solidarity, Bahçeli said, "As long as the Turkish nation is united, as long as the Turkish state is strong, as long as the spirit of national unity and brotherhood lives on, no dark focus, no treason network, no imperial project will have a chance of success on Turkey.
