Bahraini King Hamed bin Isa Al Khalifa discussed bilateral relations and regional situations with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.
According to the news in Bahrain's official news agency BNA, King Al Khalifa welcomed Egyptian President Sisi, who visited his country, at the airport.
At the meeting held between Al Khalifa and Sisi, relations between Bahrain and Egypt were discussed and Cairo's recent solidarity with Manama was emphasized.
They also exchanged views on the effects of the latest situations in the Middle East on regional stability and security.
Condemning Iran's attacks on Bahraini territory, Sisi stated that these attacks violate the sovereignty of the countries in the region and threaten international peace and security.
Al Khalifa and Sisi called on Iran to stop its attacks against Arab countries in the Gulf and Jordan, and emphasized that "all kinds of provocations and threats against neighboring countries must end immediately and unconditionally."
Underlining that Gulf countries and Jordan reserve the right to defend themselves against Iranian attacks, Al Khalifa and Sisi also called on Iran to stop its threats to block ship traffic in the Strait of Hormuz.
