Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar stated that we, as a nation, passed an exemplary test 10 years ago and said, "On July 15, 2016, we once again faced the internal and external enemies we encountered in Malazgirt, the conquest of Istanbul, Çanakkale, and the War of Independence." he said.
According to the statement made by the Ministry, in addition to the July 15 veterans, senior managers and staff of the ministry attended the July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day commemoration meeting held in the Ministry's Conference Hall.
Speaking at the program, which started with a video screening and continued with the recitation of the Holy Quran, Bayraktar said, "I believe that this meeting will be useful in understanding the '15 July epic' and remembering the nation's victory. I wish God's mercy to our heroes who enlightened that night with their martyrdom, and long life to our veterans." he said.

Reminding that a terrorist organization that has infiltrated important institutions of the state for many years wanted to seize sovereignty with the instructions they received from outside, Bayraktar said, "With the call of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, 'I invite my nation to the squares', a unique epic began to be written in the world." he said.
Noting that the nation raised flags on planes, tanks and ships, and that the power of the heart defeated the power of steel that night, Bayraktar said, "While the salutes rising from the minarets heralded victory, the traitors who were members of the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO) surrendered one by one. As the day dawned, faith, love of the homeland and sacrifice won." made his assessment.
Bayraktar emphasized that they implemented the National Energy and Mining Policy immediately after the treacherous coup attempt and said, "We initiated moves to end our foreign dependency with our own ships, our own human resources and our own equipment." he said.
Stating that they are working on a new energy architecture in the 10th anniversary of the National Energy and Mining Policy, Bayraktar said, "The world is entering the electric age in energy. Therefore, electrification is at the center of our new energy architecture. We are trying to create a more durable, more flexible and digitalized energy infrastructure." made his assessment.
Bayraktar underlined that under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, they will be united today, as they were 10 years ago, and said:
"We will work hard, strengthen our brotherhood, and take firm steps towards the goal of full independence in energy, which is our red apple. Each of our colleagues who work with great devotion in the central and provincial organizations of our Ministry, in our affiliated, relevant and related organizations, in the field, in power plants, drilling ships, mines, transmission and distribution infrastructures, laboratories and offices are the unsung heroes of Türkiye's journey to full independence in energy and mining."
Thanking his colleagues for their efforts, Bayraktar said, "Just as our nation defended its will on the night of July 15, we will continue to defend our country's energy targets with the same determination. Because we know that a strong Turkey is only possible with a strong Turkey in energy." he said.
After the speech, Yaşar Gücenmez, President of the Homeland Veterans and Martyrs' Relatives Association, and Lokman Aydar, President of the Turkish Veterans and Martyrs' Families Foundation, presented a plaque to Bayraktar.
Bayraktar visited the exhibition consisting of July 15 photographs in the foyer area.
