Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek answered journalists' questions after the Cabinet Meeting at the Presidential Complex.
Making statements about the current operations, Gürlek stated that the secrecy continues in the investigation of the Friends Association and said, "The investigation is currently continuing. Operations are being carried out under the coordination of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. MASAK reports are being examined. The investigation may expand."
Minister Gürlek stated that Haluk Levent, the President of the Friends Association, was detained on Sunday after he attempted to escape even though he had previously been banned from traveling abroad.
