Minister Kurum, in his post on his social media account on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day, stated the following:
"On July 15, tanks were defeated by the love of the country, the tutelaries were defeated by the national will, and under the shadow of the star and crescent flag, a heroic epic was written under the leadership of our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. I remember with mercy our martyrs and our heroic veterans, who resisted the coup plotters and defended their homeland for the future of their state and nation on that night of betrayal.
