Minister Uraloğlu Highlights on 10th Anniversary of July 15: 'The Will is Ours, The Victory is Ours'

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu issued a message regarding July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.

In his message, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu stated, "July 15, which we commemorate its 10th anniversary, is one of the greatest epics in our history, written in golden letters, where our beloved nation fought to the death for its homeland, flag, independence, and democracy."

Minister Uraloğlu expressed that the 10th anniversary, crowned with the theme 'The Will is Ours, The Victory is Ours,' is not merely an anniversary; it is a turning point of a resurgence that once again proclaims to the entire world that the will of the Turkish nation cannot be chained, and how chests full of faith stood firm against tanks, rifles, and betrayals.

'WE COMMEMORATE WITH MERCY, GRATITUDE, AND APPRECIATION'

Minister Uraloğlu noted that on that dark night, FETÖ members who infiltrated the state sought to destroy the national will, but the nation made history in squares, on bridges, and in the streets, declaring 'Enough, the word belongs to the nation.' He added, "The brave individuals who lay before tanks, the heroes who shielded themselves against bullets, did not allow traitors to pass. On that night, we commemorate our beloved martyrs, especially our brothers Ahmet Özsoy and Ali Karslı who sacrificed their lives at TÜRKSAT, and our heroic veterans, with mercy, gratitude, and appreciation. Thanks to their sacrifice, under the leadership of our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, our nation poured into the squares, the coup attempt was repelled, and Turkey's future was saved."

Uraloğlu explained that the epic resistance shown by TÜRKSAT employees against the coup plotters' plan to collapse the communication infrastructure ensured the continuity of the nation's news flow. He stated, "On our railways, TCDD employees continued train services, transporting our citizens to the squares, and on our highways, our teams kept the roads open and immediately intervened in sabotages at critical points. These sacrifices played a very important role in organizing the resistance and achieving victory. As the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, on the 10th anniversary of July 15, we once again declare that we will fully uphold the legacy of our martyrs who made these lands our homeland. We will never again allow treacherous attempts. Shoulder to shoulder with our nation, in unity and solidarity, we will work tirelessly to achieve Turkey's goals through a policy of works and services."

Minister Uraloğlu also stated, "On the 10th anniversary of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day; I commemorate our beloved martyrs who sacrificed their lives for their homeland with mercy, our heroic veterans with gratitude, and I extend my appreciation to our veterans. I offer my love and respect to our noble nation that upheld its national will, and I hope that it will never again face such betrayals. Our faith, which grew colossal by declaring 'The Will is Ours, The Victory is Ours,' and our love for independence will last forever, and the 'Century of Turkey' will rise in our future."
