Başakşehir District Police Department Traffic Inspection Bureau teams carried out comprehensive inspections throughout the district against drivers who broadcast loud music, exaggerated exhaust and endanger traffic safety. During the inspections, a car driver who did not obey the 'stop' warning of the teams started to run away. The chase between the police teams and the driver was captured second by second on a citizen's mobile phone camera. The driver, who was caught a short time later, was given an administrative fine of 200 thousand liras within the scope of the relevant article of the Highway Traffic Law, and the vehicle he was driving was banned from traffic for 60 days. During the inspections, action was taken against drivers who were found to disturb the environment with loud music, while vehicles using exaggerated exhaust were also detected one by one. Administrative fines of up to 21 thousand liras were imposed on vehicles causing noise pollution, and up to 16 thousand liras were imposed on drivers using excessive exhaust, within the scope of the relevant legislation. In some violations, vehicle owners were also penalized.
