A javelin competition was held in Bayburt as part of the July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day events.
Citizens showed great interest in the demonstration organized by Bayburt Governorship in the javelin field of Bayburt Municipality, where Kızıl Elma Equestrian Sports Club and Kop Equestrian Sports Club faced each other.
In the show, where two teams of six people competed, the athletes demonstrated their control over their horses while trying to throw their javelins accurately at their opponents.
The athletes performing javelin, one of the traditional sports that the Turks have enjoyed for centuries, gave the audience enjoyable moments with their challenging moves despite the hot weather and their efforts to throw the javelin.
After the match ended in a draw, Deputy Governor Cem Gümrükçü presented the plaques to the team captains.
