A new situation occurred in the drug and prostitution investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
Muzaffer Yıldırım, the owner of Bebek Hotel, who was detained for about 6 months within the scope of the investigation, was released with a judicial control order in the form of 'house arrest'.
Muzaffer Yıldırım was detained on January 5. Searches were made at Yıldırım's residences and businesses, and some news reports claimed that poker stamps, money, communication devices and digital materials, which were considered to be used in gambling organizations, were seized during the searches.
Yıldırım was arrested by the judgeship to which he was referred on January 7, following his procedures at the police station. While 19 of the 26 suspects detained in the same operation wave of the investigation were arrested along with Yıldırım, Bebek Hotel General Manager Arif Altınbulak was among the names in question.
It was claimed that marijuana was detected in Yıldırım's hair sample during the examination of the samples taken by the Forensic Medicine Institute.
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office decided to seize Yıldırım's assets ex officio on February 9, 2026, on the grounds that there were serious indications that the proceeds were obtained from crime and laundered. The decision was approved by the Istanbul 8th Criminal Court of Peace on the same day.
In the later stages of the investigation, trustees were appointed to 6 companies belonging to Yıldırım.
On the other hand, Bebek Hotel General Manager Arif Altınbulak was released on condition of judicial control on March 17, after giving a statement in order to benefit from the provisions of effective remorse.
