A flame warning was issued to combine harvester operators in Bilecik.
An informative activity was held in Düzmeşe village of Bilecik's Osmaneli district to prevent field fires that may occur during the harvest season. At the event attended by combine harvester operators and field owners, measures to minimize the risk of flames were explained. In the briefing, it was emphasized that the daily maintenance and checks of the combine harvesters should be carried out thoroughly, the straw, grass and dust accumulated in the engine and exhaust area should be cleaned regularly, and at least 2 6-kilogram flame extinguishing cylinders should be kept in the vehicles in working condition. In addition, warnings were made to refuel in a safe area after the engine is stopped, not to start harvesting if a malfunction or leakage is detected in the electrical and fuel systems, and to work more carefully in extremely hot and windy weather.
On the other hand, it was stated in the information activity that it is of great importance to notify the 112 Emergency Call Center without delay in case of any fire, and it was learned that similar information activities will continue throughout the harvest period. - BİLECİK
