The flames that broke out in a grassy area in Bilecik were extinguished by air and land intervention.
Flames broke out in the grassy land near the village of Selbükü, for an unknown reason.
Upon notice, Bilecik Forest Management Directorate and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene.
The flames were taken under control by 8 personnel, 2 helicopters, 3 water tankers and many water tankers and first response vehicles, and were extinguished before they spread to the surrounding forest area.
The cause of the fire, which damaged approximately 3 decares of land, is being investigated.
