A total administrative fine of 4 million 195 thousand 470 liras was imposed on 4 people who collected salep without permission and 2 people who were determined to be bio-smuggling in BINGÖL.
An inspection was carried out for the protection of biological diversity by the Provincial Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks and Kiğı Açıkgüney Gendarmerie Station Command teams. During the inspections, 4 people who were determined to have collected the tubers of the endangered salep plant without permission were fined a total of 2 million 796 thousand 980 liras within the scope of Environmental Law No. 2872. During the inspections, an administrative fine of 1 million 398 thousand 490 liras was imposed on 2 people who were found to have collected animal species and derivatives within the scope of bio-smuggling without permission.
Bingöl Nature Conservation and National Parks Directorate officials stated that inspections for the protection of biological diversity will continue in cooperation with relevant institutions, and the fight against illegal activities that threaten natural life will continue.
