The first harvest of lavender seedlings planted two years ago was carried out in Sinop's Boyabat district.
In a statement made from the social media account of the Sinop Regional Directorate of Forestry, it was announced that the first lavender-scented harvest in Boyabat was carried out by the Boyabat Forest Management Directorate, with the aim of obtaining seeds from the lavenders planted in the Bahçeköy and Osmanköy afforestation areas.
The statement further conveyed that the seeds to be obtained from the lavenders harvested over a 14-hectare area are aimed to be sown in the spring months to expand the lavender cultivation area, and that production will continue with determination to protect Sinop's unique nature and leave a greener legacy for the future, through the touch of dedicated hands that add value to the soil.
