In Mersin's Bozyazı district, a meeting was held to evaluate measures to be taken to prevent potential drowning incidents during the summer months.

Commission members, consisting of representatives from relevant public institutions and organizations, attended the drowning prevention meeting held at the District Governor's Office Meeting Hall, chaired by Bozyazı District Governor Tuncay Topsakaloğlu. During the meeting, measures to be taken to prevent drowning incidents, which may increase especially during the summer period, were discussed. Evaluations were made regarding raising public awareness in areas unsuitable for swimming such as ponds, rivers, and dams, the effective use of warning signs, and increasing inspections.

Speaking at the meeting, District Governor Tuncay Topsakaloğlu stated that a significant portion of drowning incidents could be prevented through the measures to be taken and awareness-raising activities to be carried out, adding, "The safety of our citizens' lives comes before everything else. All our institutions will do their part in this regard."

The meeting concluded after evaluations focused on strengthening inter-institutional coordination and implementing the decisions made. - MERSİN
