The peach garden, which emerged unharmed from the flames of the forest fire that broke out in Gürsu last year and turned hundreds of hectares of land into ashes, gave hope to those who saw it with its fruits this year. The garden, which remains green in the middle of the black slopes, continues to be a source of morale for the local people.

The peach garden, which was not damaged by the flames in the forest fire that broke out last year in Bursa's Gürsu district and damaged an area of ​​953 hectares, attracted attention with its fruiting this year. The garden, which symbolized the revival of nature with its pink flowers in the past months, has now become a symbol of hope among the scars of the fire by filling its branches with fruits.

While large forest areas were reduced to ashes in the fire that started between Gürsu and Kestel districts in July last year and lasted for days, the approximately 50-decare peach garden in Karahıdır District survived largely unharmed, thanks to the regular maintenance and dry grass cleaning of its owners.

The garden, which preserved its green appearance in the middle of the slopes that turned black after the fire, also made producers happy this year. While traces of the fire are still visible in the surrounding forest areas, fruit-laden trees once again demonstrated that nature can renew itself.

Ali Kiraz, the owner of the garden that survived the fire, talked about the process they went through and their hopes for this year's harvest. Kiraz said, "The fact that this garden remained in the flames like this last year was the fruit of the maintenance we did. Just as seeing the flowers bloom in the past months gave us hope, today it gives us the same happiness to see the branches filled with fruit. There has been no change in the harvest. Only because there is no forest, the temperature is a little high. But we still do what is necessary with our watering and pruning."

Kiraz said, "The traces of the fire are still around us, but nature is slowly recovering. Hopefully, these mountains will be green again in the coming years. Together, we will grow that green with our own hands." - BURSA
