Students of Hacı Sevim Yıldız Furniture and Interior Design Technologies Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in Bursa's İnegöl district are learning a profession and earning money by continuing production in the school's workshop during summer vacation.
Students of the school's Furniture and Interior Design Department take part in projects produced for public institutions and the private sector.
Students, who can easily find jobs in the sector after graduation, also earn income thanks to the production carried out within the scope of revolving fund.
Furniture and Interior Design Field Chief Gökhan Saltık told the AA correspondent that the students continue their education in a real production environment and that the revolving fund system offers significant advantages.
Stating that students gain business discipline before graduating from school, Saltık said:
"One of the most important reasons why our students choose this school is to become sought-after employees when they graduate. In this context, they work actively in our revolving fund enterprise. They earn a monthly income of approximately 20 thousand liras. Thus, they receive practical training and earn the reward of their labor. This increases the motivation of our students. At the same time, it ensures that they graduate more ready for business life."
Saltık stated that they most recently took part in the Kütahya Teacher's House project with his students and said, "In this project, our students took part in the entire process from design to production. They gained important experience by working on a real public project. The result was a high-quality and successful activity." he said.
Hamza Küçük, one of the students, said that he chose this school because of the wide job opportunities in İnegöl.
Stating that he took part in many projects during the training period, Küçük explained that they had the opportunity to apply what they learned in real jobs.
Küçük stated that they take part in every stage of production and said, "Our school provides a really high-quality education. Here, we both learn a profession and earn money. We are trained with the understanding of 'wanted personnel, not intermediate personnel'. I do not think we will be unemployed after graduation." he said.
