Two people died after a light commercial vehicle went out of control and overturned into a streambed in the Yenice district of Çanakkale.
The accident occurred yesterday around 4:00 PM. The light commercial vehicle with license plate 17 AHP 337, driven by Burak Kocakaya, reportedly went out of control and overturned into the streambed near Gümüşler Deresi, between the Yenice and Balya districts, after the driver lost control of the steering wheel. Upon notification, health, gendarmerie, and fire department teams were dispatched to the scene. Şerife Demiral (32), who was in the vehicle, died at the scene, while the severely injured driver Kocakaya succumbed to his injuries despite interventions at Yenice State Hospital, where he had been transported by ambulance.
The gendarmerie has launched an investigation into the accident. - ÇANAKKALE
