Following the material damage accident in which a car and a light commercial vehicle collided in Karabük's Safranbolu district, the driver, who was claimed to be drunk, offered to have his vehicle repaired with the money he would pay as a penalty to the driver on the other side. An operation was launched to catch the driver who fled the scene when he saw the police.
The accident occurred at the Akçasu TOKİ Junction location on the Safranbolu-Bartın highway. A light commercial vehicle with plate number 78 TV 084, driven by Osman A., and a car with plate number 06 JZ 055 collided. While no one was injured in the accident, material damage occurred to the vehicles. Allegedly, the driver of the car, who was found to be drunk, did not want the police teams to be called and offered the driver on the other side to have his car repaired with the money he would pay as a penalty. The dialogue between the parties was recorded by a mobile phone camera.
Upon notice, police teams were dispatched to the scene. However, the driver of the car, who was allegedly drunk, fled the scene of the traffic incident seconds before the teams reached the scene.
While police teams launched an operation to identify and capture the driver who left the scene, a fine of 51 thousand 662 TL was imposed on the car license plate for various items.
