CHP Edirne Provincial Chairman Yücel Balkanlı published a message on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.
In his message, Balkanlı stated that he once again condemned the treacherous coup attempt targeting the will of the nation and democracy on July 15, 2016.
Balkanlı stated that as CHP, they are against all kinds of coup attempts and tutelage mentality today, just like yesterday, and said:
"With the belief that sovereignty unconditionally belongs to the nation, we will continue to resolutely defend democracy, the rule of law and the fundamental values of our Republic. We commemorate all our martyrs who lost their lives on July 15 with mercy and our veterans with gratitude, and we hope that our country will never experience such pain again.
Democracy can only be protected by law, justice, freedoms and strong institutions. "It is our common responsibility to learn from the past and further strengthen the Republic of Türkiye in line with the principles of democratic, secular and social state of law."
