CHP Antalya Deputy Aykut Kaya criticized the Ministry of Commerce's regulation regarding the verification of vehicle and housing advertisements through the Electronic Advertisement Verification System (EIDS) and said, "With this decision, you condemn our tradesmen to advertisement portals and take away the marketing power they have." he said.
CHP Antalya Deputy Kaya made evaluations on the regulation in question at the press conference he held in the Parliament.
Stating that with the regulation, real estate and gallery tradesmen can only share the EIDS approved advertisement link on their social media accounts and cannot include photos, videos and information of the house or vehicle they sell, Kaya said, "I wonder why our real estate and gallery tradesmen cannot market their products on social media while other sectors market their products on social media." he said.
"With this decision, you condemn our tradesmen to advertisement portals and take away the marketing power they have. Today, our tradesmen pay more than the shop rent to these advertisement portals. I call on the Ministry of Commerce to bring solutions, not restrictions, to the moribund sector. Our real estate and gallery owner tradesmen should be able to share EIDS-approved portfolios on their social accounts. Protect our tradesmen, not the advertisement portals."
