ORC Research shared the latest election survey results for Türkiye's megacity Istanbul, which President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan described as "My love, my love". According to the research covering the period June-July 2026, the vote difference between the AK Party and CHP in Istanbul has narrowed to a narrow margin.
The latest field activity measuring voter tendencies in Istanbul, where the heart of politics beats, was carried out by ORC Research. "If there was a general election this Sunday, which party would you vote for?" In the survey where the question was asked, it was seen that the competition between AK Party and CHP was breathtaking.
According to the survey results, the ruling party AK Party maintains its first place in Istanbul with 34.6 percent, while the main opposition party CHP comes right behind with 32.7 percent. The fact that the difference between the two parties is only 1.9 percent reveals how heated the race in the megacity has become.
DEM Party ranks third in the preferences of Istanbul voters with 8.5 percent, followed by MHP with 5.8 percent and İYİ Party with 4.8 percent. While the Victory Party, known for its refugee outflows, reached 3.9 percent of the votes, the Re-Welfare Party remains at 2.7 percent, the BBP at 1.3 percent and the Saadet Party at 0.9 percent. The total weight of other parties is measured as 4.8 percent.
The results show that the balance between the two major blocs in Istanbul is very delicate. In particular, the vote rates of actors such as DEM Party, MHP and İYİ Party have a critical importance that will directly affect the distribution in Istanbul in a possible general election scenario...
