DEM Party Co-Chair Tülay Hatimoğulları spoke at her party's group meeting in the Turkish Grand National Assembly. Recalling the situations regarding the 'Terror-Free Turkey' process, Hatimoğulları said, "Now it is time to transform this process into law, the will of the Parliament, and the legal basis that will guarantee permanent peace. As we have said many times, peace is not only the silence of the guns, but peace becomes peace as long as the law is established. The basic words spoken since the entry of 22 October and the historical call on 27 February have never changed; law. The basis of a permanent solution must be law, and its guarantee must be law. We are aware that a 100-year-old issue cannot be solved with a single law, but the first button fastened incorrectly will make everything else wrong. Let's not waste this summer; let's pass the framework law in July. When the Parliament opens on October 1, let's implement the regulations that will strengthen democracy and freedom. We may have different opinions, but we can solve them through negotiation and common sense. "Right here, the entire political institution and everyone have great responsibilities due to the duties and responsibilities our country has imposed on them," he said.

'EVERYONE SHOULD BE ABLE TO PASS THE DOOR OF PEACE EASILY'

Hatimoğulları, as DEM Party, stated that 4 main topics should not be postponed and said, "These topics are as follows; the first one is an inclusive root law. The law of peace should be established on a basis that recognizes the will and interlocutor of the parties. There should be no 'this will come, that will not' debate, there should be no categories, everyone should be able to pass through the door of peace easily without hesitation. Secondly, as stated in the reports of the Parliamentary Commission; the trustee mentality should come to an end. ECHR and Constitutional Court decisions should be implemented and the elected will should be fully guaranteed." The third one is to remove the obstacles to democratic politics. It should be transformed into a Türkiye that talks about politics, not courthouse corridors and prisons. The existence of people and their peaceful common life should be taken into consideration and we should carry out our activities by putting this at our center. The fourth one is that Abdullah Öcalan's communication and activity conditions should be arranged in accordance with the needs of the democratic solution. We know that there is a deep wound in everyone's hearts during the war and conflicts that have been going on for nearly 50 years. "Öcalan is in favor of the Turkish solution and healing these wounds, he is in favor of common life. If he can work freely, he will play a very important role in healing these wounds. An Öcalan who can talk to the society freely, share his thoughts freely and explain his solution perspective will pave the way for the Kurdish people and all of Türkiye," he said.
