45-year-old Mustafa Özbek, who was hospitalized in the Atakum district of Samsun after being in danger of drowning in the sea, died in the hospital where he was treated.
The incident took place last Sunday in Adnan Menderes Boulevard Körfez location in Atakum district. According to the information obtained, Mustafa Özbek (45), who went into the sea, started struggling in the water after a while. Upon the notice of the surrounding citizens who noticed the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center, medical teams and Samsun Police Department Marine Police teams were dispatched to the scene. Özbek, who was taken out of the water with the intervention of the Marine Police teams, was taken to Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMÜ) Faculty of Medicine Hospital by ambulance after the first intervention of the medical teams at the scene.
Özbek died last night, despite all the doctors' interventions. Öztürk's lifeless body was sent to the Forensic Medicine Institute Samsun Group Presidency for autopsy. -SAMSUN
