BBP Chairman Mustafa Destici said, "No one, no community should and cannot attempt to put themselves in the place of the state and determine the fate of the nation. If they do, both the state and the nation will do what is necessary and put them in their place, just like on the night of July 15." he said.

In his message published on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day, Destici stated that he commemorated the martyrs who sacrificed their lives to protect the state, democracy and constitutional order, which are the spiritual roof of the nation.

Recalling what happened on the night of July 15, Destici pointed out that the owner of the state is the nation. Destici said, "No one, no group should or can attempt to replace themselves with the state and determine the fate of the nation. If they do, both the state and the nation will do what is necessary and put them in their place, just like on the night of July 15." He stated:

Destici stated that especially those who hold public office cannot show loyalty to any other country, nation, ethnic group, person, society, community or group other than the authority of the state.

Stating that the political parties showed full solidarity both inside and outside the Turkish Grand National Assembly that night, Destici said, "From the first moment we heard about the coup that night, we clearly demonstrated our stance against the coup by going to our party headquarters, our friends at the Red Crescent, at the direction of the General Staff, myself, going to the Parliament and going to the Red Crescent. We are among the first political parties to make a statement." made his assessment.

Destici emphasized that all those who made an attempt against the state and the nation on July 15, 2016, those who were fugitives and their extensions were punished and said:

"Efforts are being made to shed light on all aspects of their past crimes. Today, we are witnessing that they are waging or are waging this fight with all the institutions of our state and government. Likewise, we must fight with the same determination against all terrorist organizations that operate against our country and nation, which we think are directed by the same focuses. Terror has no color or religion, terror is terror. Therefore, we must fight against terrorism with the same determination against all terrorist organizations."

Destici stated that he once again condemned the July 15 FETO coup.
