Driver Mehmet Ali Ergin was injured and his son Abdulkadir Ergin (17) lost his life in the fire that broke out in the car that broke through the barriers and overturned into the garden in Akçadağ district of MALATYA.
The accident occurred at around 14.30 on the northern ring road of Yağmurlu District. The car with plate number 44 BS 154, driven by Mehmet Ali Ergin, overturned the barriers and fell into the garden as a result of its driver losing control of the steering wheel. After the accident, flames broke out in the grassland and the car. Upon notice, fire brigade and medical teams were dispatched to the area. While the teams rescued the injured Mehmet Ali Ergin, his son Abdulkadir Ergin lost his life in the car he was trapped in. While Mehmet Ali Ergin was taken to the hospital, his son's lifeless body was taken to the Malatya Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for autopsy.
